.NET Framework comes pre-installed on Vista, but is available for XP as a free download from Microsoft (use the link below). Microsoft requires .NET Framework in order to run many of its programs, such as Messenger. .NET Framework is a rich, stable and robust web-form style operating environment -- hence chosen by your software company to provide users with the best PC-based platform. |

All Dr Jeff software products will run on any version of .NET Framework.
Microsoft includes .NET Framework 3.0 with its new OS release, Vista, but still makes .NET Framework available for Windows XP Service Pack 2. The latest version of .NET Framework is 3.0, which is compatible with the earlier versions 2.0 and 1.1. Microsoft has pledged full backward compatibility of all .NET Framework versions. Thus, users may install any version of .NET Framework, but might as well install the latest version. |
